Potable Water Supply
Finding a potable water supply for a mine site can often be a challenging exercise. Once the water is found, it may be located a considerable distance from the mine and mains electrical power or it may be a low flow water source.
Airwell have a proven solution for this problem. Compressed air is reticulated from a compressor at the main plant out to the bore field up to 15 km away, pumping the water back to storage tanks at the mine. The inbuilt automation of the Airwell system optimises water recovery from the bore field, while the addition of float valves in the storage tank enables the system to turn off once the tanks are full. This is all achieved at a fraction of the cost of running power and additional pump automation.
